SD Services joins the automotive logistics division of Groupe Charles André (GCA)
GCA has today finalised the acquisition of the SD Services group, marking a strategic step in the diversification of its activities towards the design, manufacture and fitting out of commercial vehicles.
With over 35 years of expertise, SD Services specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of customised commercial vehicle conversion solutions for professionals. The company has a national network of 18 branches covering the whole of France and an industrial site established in Gevrey-Chambertin (Côte d'Or, France) since 2012. It has 400 employees and is ISO 9001 certified, a UTAC-qualified operator and crash-test certified. SD Services is also committed to a certified CSR approach, favouring materials from sustainably managed forests (PEFC) and 100% recyclable and innovative solutions to reduce its environmental impact while guaranteeing quality and safety.
Founded in 1932, GCA has been a specialist in transport and logistics in Europe for over 90 years. A family-owned and independent company, GCA operates across the entire logistics chain in sectors such as aeronautics, food, automotive, construction and minerals, chemicals, defence, energy, the environment, rail and urban logistics. Its automotive logistics division has triple certification to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
GCA has a turnover of €1.8 billion and employs 10,500 people in 15 countries.
