As of 17 April 2023, 43 French departments were affected by drought vigilance and calls for water restrictions, according to data collected on the government website. In the coming months, municipalities may need to transport water to supply drinking water reservoirs for the inhabitants. But also for civil protection to fill the tanks with water for extinguishing fires.
